Catrin Profile

Catrin is a Registered General Nurse having trained at The London Hospital Whitechapel.  She has a wide variety of experience working in both hospitals and the community.

 

Catrin spent several years working in residential care services for people with severe disabilities following catastrophic brain injury.  The residents had multiple care and rehabilitation requirements which was highly variable depending on the severity of their injuries; Catrin’s experience in working in this environment led her to developing her career in Case Management.

 

Catrin has spent the last 10 years working for a leading Case Management Company.  In her role as Case Manager she has cared for both adults and children with brain and spinal injury.  Catrin enjoys mentoring new case managers as she is passionate about enabling and facilitating quality care; she’s a firm believer in team work and she is known for her approachability. Catrin works compassionately and she particularly enjoys working with families; she is calm in a crisis and she has a ‘common sense’ outlook to case management which inspires confidence in those who work with her.

 

Catrin is the co-owner and co-founder of Breakthrough Case Management Ltd.  She works full time as a Consultant Case Manager for adults and children with catastrophic brain and spinal injury, in addition to writing medico-legal quantum nursing care reports.

 

Catrin has significant case management expertise; her experience includes working with clients with Sodium Valporate syndrome, Apert Syndrome, Golden Har Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, amputees, and clients with drug and alcohol addictions.  In all instances, she supports the client and their families through the most difficult of times.

 

Catrin is highly motivated to provide innovative rehabilitation programmes, working collaboratively with other professionals to optimise positive outcomes for her clients.  Catrin understands that throughout the process clients need to live as normal a life as possible and therefore rehabilitation should be functional and enjoyable.

 

Catrin is an Advanced member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers, CMSUK and the Royal college of Nursing.
